Introduction of Technolas 217 laser with flying spot technology (2mm spot) and active eye tracker
1997 Introduction of Topolink technology (C-Scan Topolink-LASIK)
1998 Introduction of Orbscan II customized LASIK
Introduction of Keracor 217c LASIK-Laser (2mm – 1mm spot)
2000 Introduction of Aberrometer technology (Zywave Aberrometer)
2001 Introduction of Technolas 217z
  Cooperation for development of iris-based eye tracker
  Introduction of toric ICLs for the correction of severe refractive errors with astigmatic components

Introduction of Technovision H.Eye.Tech Laser (Proscan customized LASIK)
2003

The ALZ Eye Laser Center moves to the "Stachus", in downtown Munich
2004

Introduction of the Pulzar Z1 Solid State laser, the first of its kind in Europe.
  First Femto-LASIK procedure during the ESCRS congress in Munich.
  Introduction of the Intralase Femtosecond laser and the Femto-LASIK procedure.
2005

Femto-LASIK allows a „Sub Bowman Keratomileusis“ with ultra thin flaps of approx. 110µm

2006 First perforated corneal transplant using the Femtosecond laser in Europe.
 

Introduction of the Femto-ICR (Intacs, Keraring) for stabilization of corneas with keratkonus.

  LASIK-TÜV: The alz Eye Laser Clinic is the first German clinic to receive this service certification.
  DIN EN ISO9001:2000, Re-certification DIN EN ISO9001:2000
  Introduction of Crosslinking therapy to prevent Keratokonus progression.
  In the alz, Femto-LASIK (SBK) replaces the Microkeratome-LASIK as the standard procedure.
2007 The foldable Veriflex anterior chamber lens allows a implantation through a 3mm tunnel.
The alz eye clinic participates in an international multi-center study evaluating the AcuFocus corneal implant.
2008 The alz eye clinic becomes a member of the Euroeyes Group.
2009 After successful completion of the clinical trial, the AcuFocus corneal implant for the correction of presbyopia is now available to all patients.
  The SCHWIND iFS femtosecond laser (150 kHz) replaces the IntraLase FS60 femtosecond laser (60 kHz).
  The EuroEyes alz eye clinc opens two additional centers in Munich and Augsburg.
2010 Introduction of the SCHWIND Amaris system (Schwind eye care solutions) offering 6D eyetracking
