  • 1982 Thesis Defense for Title of Professor of Ophthalmology
  • 1982 Began private practice in Munich
    1982 Became Director of the Eye Department of the Red Cross Clinic in Munich
  • 1987 Founded the Annual Meeting of German Ophthalmologic Surgeons
  • 1988 Appointed as Extracurricular Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Mainz
  • 1991 Founded the Corneal Bank of Munich
  • 1996 Founded the ALZ Eye Laser Center (alz augenklinik münchen) in Munich
  • 1997 Appointed as Extracurricular Professor on the Medical Faculty of the Technical University of Munich
