What if I am not happy with the results?
What percentage of LASIK surgeries requires an enhancement
procedure (follow-up surgery)?
How long will the results of surgery last?
In most cases your vision will improve immediately after surgery. Within
a few days you should be able to enjoy daily activities without prescription
lenses. Your vision will change slightly over several months after surgery.
This is a natural result of the new refractive power of your eye. Research
suggests that your vision will be completely stabilized two years after
surgery.
What if I am not happy with the results?
If the results of a corrective procedure do not meet the patient's
expectations, or if the correction effect decreases over time (regression),
it is generally possible to perform an enhancement laser procedure. However,
there are certain limitations which will be taken into consideration when
assessing the most suitable procedure.
What percentage of LASIK surgeries requires an enhancement
procedure (follow-up surgery)?
Approximately 7 to 8 % of all patients ask for an enhancement
procedure (Re-LASIK).
