Femto-LASIK ProfessionalsAlthough over 200.000 Femto-LASIK procedures have been performed in the US, the femtosecond laser technology has only been available in Europe since the fall of 2004. The first Femto-LASIK in Germany was performed by Dr. Stephen Glenn Slade in the operating room of the EuroEyes ALZ Eye Laser Center in Munich. This procedure was broadcasted live to the visitors of the DOC congress in June, 2004. Today, only few laser centers in Germany and Europe offer this technology to their patients. Our eye laser center is proud to be one of them. Together with the FreeVis LASIK Center in Mannheim and the Euro-Eye Laser Clinic in Nuremberg-Fürth, we have formed the Femto-LASIK Professional Group.
